If you're just now starting to question IBLP teachings, this book is a great place to start. Jinger has a gentle yet firm way of exposing Bill Gothard's teaching. And who better than someone who was literally a poster-child for the Institute of Basic Life Principles?

While I haven't listened to every Basement episode, every Basement episode I've listened to has hit home. Tim might be the first Christian thought leader I've listened to who is this real. (Warning, he cusses. Please don't discredit him because he's got hood in his background. That's a very IBLP move).

If you're looking for a different perspective than you got from super fundamentalists, then check out Jackie and Preston. Their story and take on things is not the stereotype you've been fed in fundamentalism.
